My name is Erika, and I am a textile artist, floral designer, and interior coordinator passionate about creating beautiful materials and environments that feel warm, tactile, and connected to nature. At the heart of my work is a deep appreciation for handcraftsmanship and the ways that color, texture, material, and form can transform the way we experience a space. I am especially interested in creating pieces and environments that feel personal, expressive, and meaningful to everyday life.
My studio practice is rooted in fiber and textile fabrication, with experience in weaving, knitting, embellishment, yarn dyeing, and other material-based techniques. I also incorporate illustration and digital tools to develop, refine, and translate physical ideas into textile concepts, interior elements, and potential products. Moving between hands-on experimentation and digital design allows me to explore materials from multiple perspectives while maintaining the tactile qualities that first inspire my work.
My background and education span fibers and textiles, floral design, interiors, environmental curation, and display artistry. Working across these disciplines has given me a versatile, hands-on approach to design. I have created floral arrangements and compositions, supported interior projects through spatial planning and coordination, and worked as a scenic and display artist on large-scale sets, installations, and environments. Across each of these experiences, I have developed a strong sensitivity to composition, color, scale, and the relationship between individual elements and the larger environment.
I am currently open to internships and full-time opportunities across textiles, interiors, visual display, floral design, and creative production. I am particularly interested in opportunities as a design studio assistant or coordinator, junior or associate designer, textile research and development assistant, installation or display artist, or workshop leader.
