Designer Biography
My name is Erika, and I am a multi-media designer and spatial creative passionate about developing expressive environmental elements, furnishings, and art pieces. My background spans design experiences in textiles, florals, interiors, environmental curation and display artistry. My work is guided by a love for authentic handcraftsmanship, and centers on curating nature-inspired spaces that feel warm, tactile, and alive.
Across my professional experiences, I've explored how color, fiber, texture, and form shape the way people experience a space. I've created unique floral designs, supported interior projects through spatial planning, coordination and material sourcing, and worked as a scenic and display artist on large-scale, dimensional set designs and show installations. Whether working with plants, textiles, paint, or mixed media, I'm drawn to materials that offer comfort and connection to nature.
My hands-on studio process is rooted in fiber and textile fabrication techniques including weaving, knitting, embellishment, and yarn-dyeing, alongside illustration techniques and digital artwork manipulation to translate my physical ideas into interior elements and product concepts. I move fluidly between physical making and digital tools, always guided by a deep respect for craftsmanship and a desire to create spaces and objects that feel personal, meaningful, and enriching to everyday life.
I'm currently open to internships and full-time opportunities across textiles, interiors, visual display, florals and creative production - including roles as a design studio assistant or coordinator, junior or associate designer, textile R&D, installation and display artistry, and workshop leadership roles.
